How did the universe begin is a deep question to which scientists do not have an answer yet. There is another closely related questions which scientists are interested in: what if the universe was always there and therefore didn’t have a beginning at all?

Our best theory of the universe at the moment is that of the Big-Bang, which says that a long time ago the universe was very small and very hot. Physical forces made it expand rapidly like a balloon, and this allowed stars and planets to form and the universe slowly evolved into what it is like today.

But was there anything before the Big-Bang or was that really the beginning of the universe? This is still a big open question.
