My CV
-
Education:
I went to five schools. My secondary schools were Bishop Douglas in London and Finham Park in Coventry. Then I went on to study physics at Imperial College London, where I am still today!
-
Qualifications:
I did GCSE’s (including Art and Music) and A-levels (Maths, Physics, English Literature). I have a BSc and an MSc in theoretical physics. Now I am doing a PhD in theoretical physics.
-
Work History:
Babysitter, bookseller, waitress, full-time student.
-
Current Job:
PhD student at the Theoretical Physics Group, Imperial College London
-
About Me:
I enjoy talking about physics and maths. So ask me a question!

We know that things like chairs, books and people are made of molecules and atoms. But what is empty space made of? What is time made of?
These are very deep questions that people have been asking for thousands of years, and we still don’t know the answers.
In theoretical physics, we use mathematics to explore these questions. We break down the the big questions into much smaller questions which we can answer. This is how we learn what our world is like!
-
My Typical Day:
Usually I work from home, sitting at my desk, scribbling connect-the-dots graphs and staring out of the window thinking about the universe.

When I sit down to work I will usually do one of three things: try to solve a mathematics problem (for example, solving an equation), read a physics textbook or article to learn new physics or write up a report about the work that I had done.
Sometimes I meet with my supervisor to talk about our work, and sometimes I go to seminars to listen to other physicists talk about the work that they had done.
