Unfortunately not, I wish I did! I do have a pair of binoculars though, they’re quite old but I can pick out brighter things like stars, the nearby planets (e.g. Venus) and features on the Moon (although I live in the middle of Edinburgh so sadly it’s usually not dark enough at night to see a whole lot).
If you have a telescope or pair of binoculars lying around I’d recommend having a go and seeing what you can spot! They don’t have to be super expensive for you to be able to see some pretty cool things. If anyone has any recommendations feel free to chime in 🙂
I have a small one, that I used to take out from time to time. I love looking at the moon as you can see so much detail already with a small telescope! 🙂
I did! I used to try and take pictures with it with a modded webcam, very fun experiment. Indeed you can see quite a bit with a decent pair of binoculars too!
I’ve got a telescope but I often forget to set my alarm to wake up in the night! I’ve used it to see the rings of saturn, the moons of jupiter, the Andromeda galaxy and a lunar eclipse. It’s fascinating seeing all the photos taken by the Hubble telescope and others, but it’s a whole other level seeing things happening live with your own eyes!
